On Saturday we danced out in Sheffield city centre for St George’s day with several other local teams. This has now become quite a tradition for us, often marking the first proper event of the season.
Here’s a video:
On Thursday morning we will be rising very early and dancing on Higger Tor so that the Sun may rise for you all. You’re welcome.
In other news, we’re pretty excited about a rather unusual event that we are performing at this Sunday (4th May). It’s part of a longer art exhibition called Unrest, about creativity emerging from poverty in Northern England (or something along those lines). Click here for more info.
The important thing is that we’ll be dancing outside the Victoria Baths at 2pm on Saturday and you can follow us inside as we dance in various beautiful rooms, along with some Northern Soul dancers. At around 3pm we are going to have a dance off with the Northern Soul crowd, to a very un-folky track!
Come and see us!
