Sidmouth Folk Week 2013
Ok, so this happened over a week ago but it took a long time to recover and one tends to forget blog updates when one is relaxing on a beach… It was a fantastic week and there were some great teams to share it with. There were a couple of… Read more“Sidmouth Folk Week 2013”
Ely during the Heat Wave of 2013
Well, none of us got cold at any time, I don’t think. It was about 30 degrees and sunny on Saturday, so we ducked out of the last spot to go swimming, which was a massive relief. Wearing black has its disadvantages occasionally. The dancing was great, though, and we… Read more“Ely during the Heat Wave of 2013”
Shepley Spring Festival
Last weekend we danced at Shepley Spring Festival in West Yorkshire. We rediscovered the joys of painting up on a cold and drizzly morning after sleeping in a tent but we soon found our way to the pub and out first dance spot. We had the pleasure of dancing with… Read more“Shepley Spring Festival”
Dancing the Sun Up (and actually seeing it!)
What’s that glowing orange thing on the horizon? Nobody’s seen it for years! Well this year we got really lucky with the weather and it was warm (at least not as crazy-freezing as last year) and clear (ish) and still, and we saw the sun from the moment it came… Read more“Dancing the Sun Up (and actually seeing it!)”
Boggarts dancing on your radio

He wanted to know about our lack of beard growth, why we aren’t over 60 and more importantly is it really possible to dance… Read more“Boggarts dancing on your radio”
Nottingham Castle Lace Exhibition

Dancing in the long gallery presented a few challenges – namely the potential to damage a few paintings and a really slippery floor! We had a great time, and to get into the lace… Read more“Nottingham Castle Lace Exhibition”
Bedlam in Berkshire
Well, we had a lovely time with Berkshire Bedlam, Great Western, Holt, Mortimers, Fool’s Gambit Morris, Betty Luptons, Flag and Bone in Berkshire last weekend. We didn’t drown… although dancing Hanter Dro with a river running down Windsor high street was a bit soggy. Thanks again to Berkshire Bedlam for… Read more“Bedlam in Berkshire”
Brilliant Boggart Birthday Bash
Boggarts were out in force over the weekend to celebrate a very loved member’s 50th birthday. We toured the pubs of Youlgreave (or is it Youlgrave?) in Derbyshire in beautiful sunny weather. When the rest of us were exhausted by the heat, the birthday boy carried on. He did another… Read more“Brilliant Boggart Birthday Bash”
All the fun of the fair!
Boggarts made their television debut on May 2nd, so we are officially famous in the world of Children’s television! We’ve had lots of lovely comments on our performance; many were shocked and surprised to see us all look, well, so smiley! It might have had something to do with Director… Read more“All the fun of the fair!”
